Cari-Med Ltd believes that sustainable economic and social development is achievable for Jamaica through investment in the country's youth and communities. This deep concern is manifested in Cari-Med Ltd's pledge of human resources and corporate donations to the areas: education, sports and health.

Burke's Basic School, in the Swallowfield Community of Kingston was adopted by Cari-Med in 2005.
Contributions include:

  1. - Mentoring of students by Cari-Med staff
  2. - Representatives from each dept at Cari-Med participate in visits to read and interact with the students
  3. - Ongoing computer (hardware and software) support
  4. - Annual Christmas treat
  5. - Visits by the Mobile Colgate Dental Clinic

 

Portland Infirmary in Port Antonio, Portland

  1. - Annual Christmas treat since 2008
  2. - Equipment donation

 

Hope Institute, St. Andrew

  1. - Upgraded part of the physical plant in 2010
  2. - Refurbished private wing
  3. - Donated an air conditioning unit & fridge to their pharmacy
  4. - Staff from Cari-Med visits the institution twice per year since 2005

 

Other charitable causes and intuitions, specifically National Chest Hospital, Bustamante Hospital and The University Hospital of the West Indies have benefitted from Cari-Med's philanthropy. With the aim of empowering Jamaica's youth, Cari-Med Ltd sponsors sporting events and athletic groups on a regular basis.

While these areas enjoy the major share of the corporate donation's budget other areas are not neglected; significant contributions are made to numerous requests from a variety of sectors. Cari-Med Ltd views contributing to the community as a pleasure as well as a responsibility. The company readily grasps opportunities to contribute to Jamaica's development and remains committed to all present and future projects.
